Nice shot! But, I think this shot would be even better if it were just a little bit lighter.

Interesting piece with good contrast. I believe I know the answer, but I can't help but ask myself "Is the egregious dodging and burning of the sky/bell intentional or a flaw?"

i like the patchy nature of the dodge/burn here.... it helps give an impression of an old 35mm motion picture frame from some haunting scene of the film -- a slightly haunting image... I think I'd like the image even better with slightly more contrast (even at the expense of a little image detail) to give it a bit more impact and help to liven up the foreground a little which appears a little cluttered perhaps?

It defintely looks like you burned/dodged the area around the bell. however, I think it works very nicely with the photo in drawing the viewer's focus to it, as well as creating a mysterious and ominous mood.
