davidbridge 0 Posted December 1, 2006 now you might wonder why I cut my foot off the bottom of the shot but truth is that the foot is damaged (it really is cut off at the end) and as its not the prettiest thing in the word I removed it from the photo. Probably should have worn socks or shoes but hey - didn't think about it at the time. I would have cropped more but it would have removed the bottom of the chair thing and I thought that would look worse. Anyway - it was an excercise in playing with my new studio light so thats what I want the critique for plus its really hard to get a good male pose. Got any ideas on the best poses for blokes? Everyone photos women (and I don't blame them as they are so much more attractive than us blokes) but its occaisionally good to be different eh? Dave Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Dave, this is a good shot. The lighting looks fine, and you make a good model :) Two comments: the base of the chair is a possible distraction, and you might be careful with dark hair/clothing against the black background. Perhaps you want that to happen? Best wishes with your new photo venture! Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted December 1, 2006 I read someplace that men tend to look best when shot with hard shadows. I'm not sure how true that is, but I thought I'd throw it out there as "food for thought". -Anthony Link to comment
