Hi Lars,

Just wanted to return the favor of your review/critique of my Mount Vernon image.

Again, thanks for your feedback on my picture!

My thoughts, for what they're worth on your beautiful work on York Minster:

• Overall thoughts. First, some stunning work. Your capture of the beautiful light in most of the images is *outstanding*. 
• Echoing others comments on exposure and vertical lines. As others have noted, overexposure in some images overpowers their beauty, unless that was an intentional design element (wanting perhaps to give the sense of an overpowering presence..) Same thought on the vertical lines.
• Uniqueness in the collection. I think this one is my favorite among your collection. It includes the elements of other images (the architectural detail, the beautiful windows, the stunning arches, etc. It also adds the timeless elements of the draped fabric and candles. This is another way of saying... some of the other images begin to lose their "power" as they are similar in composition - they seem to become variations on the same theme. Not to take away (at all!) from their individual beauty; it is (to me) just that there are a number of similar compositions.
  I would only suggest on this image, introducing different color tones (fewer yellows/golds) would help to deepen the impact.
