I purposefully juxtaposed the two planes to bring the viewer into the image and make them want to duck under the interesting wall to see what's underneath. To me, the interesting wall was the easy shot. I took a shot of just the wall as you suggested but to me, it lacks originality. Here's a link to a shot of just the wall as you suggested.

I try to add dynamics to an image by drawing the viewer, via perspective and light into the image as opposed to just putting an image on the wall for the viewers pleasure. Hope this comment helps.

I like your presentation, you have succeeded in giving the viewer the feeling of having to duck their head.

I love this! The shapes are interesting in themselves, and the emphasis of the unimportant wall over the important hallway is had me chuckling!

If you crop the bottom oput it's a good pic too.. Weird huh?
