Pete Moran's "Denver International Airport" edited as per comment to his portfolio.

I copied Pete's image from this website, and rotated and cropped it using PS.My wordy comment on the original was this:Beautiful colours, good structure and rhythm, nice gradations of light. Overall, the photo looks like it's ready to sing, but it doesn't quite. It's hard to identify why. An idea. Even though the verticals and the back window horizontal are lined up square, the roof curves lean me to the right - and there's nothing to stop the eye on the left side of the picture to counteract this dynamic. If I "go into" the picture, I'll fall over to the right. Try rotating it between 1 and 2 degrees counterclockwise; crop to eliminate the resulting white spaces at the corners. Now the left tilt of the columns dynamically balances the right rotation of the roof lines; the conical sconces lead the eye more directly to a lower left corner anchor. Happily, the blue window in the lower left is paired with the segment of roof beam diagonally opposite. This makes a different picture, I admit. It's less of an architectural presentation than the original. But to me it is more exciting and satisfying to look at. What do you think? I noticed the effect of a subtle tilt in a recent Photo.net Pic of the Week - a winter look down a St. Petersburg street. Several commentors mentioned its "tunnel effect", and I realized it was enhanced by a slight clockwise tilt from vertical. (I haven't had success in posting images with my responses. I'll put my suggested edit of your photo up in the 'Single photos' folder of my portfolio, so you can see what it might look like.)
