JohnMWright 1 Posted June 24, 2006 beautiful lighting, color. A postcard shot. I'm inspired to visit Wales. I just wish your scan was slightly less grainy, what scanner are you using? Link to comment
biggerjon 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. This was scanned some 8 yrs ago from a 35mm neg (velvia probably) and has been rescued since I discovered the " joys " of colour calibration. i did not realise that my old system meant everyone else saw my images some 2 zones darker than what I saw on screen. rescuing has probably led to the grain. I have yet to run this through Neat image which will reduce the noise( mostly in the sky?). Scanned on an early (low quality by today's standard Epson scanner) can't remember the model. i no longer have the transparency otherwise would scan again. i will post a version ran through neat image just for comparison when i get round to doing it! Thanks Jon Link to comment
alberto.prt 0 Posted July 11, 2006 As you stated above, there is a lot of grain ... but the light is wonderful! You choose the right moment. Thanks for your comment on my last submission, best regardsAlberto Link to comment
david morgan 0 Posted September 4, 2006 This is the best photograph I've seen of this castle, the light and shade distribution is perfect. Great colour. Link to comment
biggerjon 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Alberto and David, thanks for the comments and thanks for spending some of your time with my images. David, thanks for that comment, It is a hard place to get a reasonable image of. Have you visited the castle? Jon Link to comment
david morgan 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Yes I have Jon and I agree it's very difficult to do it justice. I have some photographs buried away somewhere that are nowhere near as good as this. Regards David Link to comment
