smhickel 0 Posted January 24, 2003 The spires have an ethereal look to them. Not really in focus, but more like a painting. I think the real picture here is cropping most of the lower have and just a tad of the upper 1/8" from top down. Yep, crop this up a bit per above and it will be more impressive. Play on the painting like quality. Link to comment
nickolay_lavrik 0 Posted January 25, 2003 Thanks for the advice. It does look better after cropping! Link to comment
allanjensen 0 Posted January 26, 2003 Nice object but! The eye hunts for a safe place to rest, but no part of the picture is sharp. Link to comment
kerri_marr 0 Posted January 26, 2003 Interesting subject. I wonder if the organic appearance of the architecture could be emphasized by angling the camera so that the base of the roof is hidden. The photo seems a little out of focus but it gives it a fairy tale quality. Link to comment
nickolay_lavrik 0 Posted January 28, 2003 Thank you very much for sharing your opinions. They have much in common with what I feel about the photo. I new that it was desperately lacking the focus and, unfortunately, this was the only frame I took at this angle. Technically, the frame should have been "sorted out". I just seemed to like the mood. Too bad this subject is no longer accessible and correcting the shot is out of question. Link to comment
msmith13339 0 Posted March 30, 2003 It has the feel of a photo from a 1950's Soviet Union tourist brochure (and the lack of sharpness adds to this effect). (I have a box of such brochures.) Link to comment
