kaushikphotography 0 Posted April 23, 2006 Its awesome. Great art. Nothin can describe the beauty of it. The series of these shots are truely amezing. How did you do that. Always 7/7 to you. Link to comment
peter_weimann1 21 Posted April 23, 2006 It looks great, but too artificial. The computer artwork is a little overdone. But I still like it. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted April 23, 2006 I would have to disagree with the majority on this one. Personally I find this kitsch, and why do people call this a "shot" as it were a photograph? This is more of a creation on a computer than a capture of a camera. It's a little disheartening that stuff like this gets rated so high and real photos get low balled. I'm not against the use of Photoshop or other manipulation programs to enhance photographs, but I believe this image has crossed into computer art and lost it's right to be call photography. This poster might be something that I expect to find in a flea market. Sorry Saleem, just my opinion. Link to comment

joe baker pine bush ny 0 Posted April 25, 2006 is any part of this image from real life? is it a drawing that was photographed? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 25, 2006 Is this not in your bio? (Photojournalism is not what I strive for so a lot of my photos are enhanced in post processing. To me, photography is ART and I see no crime in manipulating photos to achieve an end result that the artist wants to convey. ?? Wade Rose Link to comment
will king 0 Posted April 25, 2006 Wade, I'm not against the use of photoshop or any other digital manipulation to a photograph. Sharpening, color saturation, burn and dodge, are all a part of a digital work flow that most photographers employ on all their photos. My arguement here is that this image is not photography. It's digital art. There's nothing wrong with digital art, but let's not fool ourselves and call this a "capture" or a "shot". This was created and not captured. Yes the birds are probably real but everything else is a cartoon. If you like this kind of stuff, more power to you. I personally do not. That's just my opinion. Link to comment
gorillaville 0 Posted April 25, 2006 This gentelman obviously strives on the negative feedback he receives on his paintings as there seems to be a relentless number of them posted. I personally think as most here this is NOT a photograph, he may perhaps be a great painter however. There is so much negative feedback yet he STILL gets high ratings, where is 3/3 man when you need him??? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 26, 2006 That's way too much PS for me...and even if I consider the picture as an image, and not a shot, I don't find any interest in it. A bit cheezy maybe. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 26, 2006 Why no sardines in this one??? Without sardines there can be no art. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Sorry I missed this one earlier. Art, yes... photography? Hum.... I bet there is at least "one" pixel of photography in here. So.... it is officially photography, right? :) Not my personal taste, but my taste is fortunately not shared by all. This is what makes the world a wild & diverse place. Saleem- your talents in the field of photo art are nothing short of amazing. Your sense of light & composition are superb. Awe.... if only it were real :) Will & Paul- chill out :) You both are "extremely" talented in what you do. We are comparing apples to oranges here. An apple is not an orange & an orange is not an apple. However, when one combines a few apples & a couple of oranges with a few grapes, a banana & some strawberries, then adds a few nuts & tops with cocoanut flakes, you get a lovely "fruit salad" :) or as they say here in the South, "Flakes, fruits & nuts". A microcosm of the world? :) Maybe. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Jayme, well said and point taken. Personally this is not my taste either but if every was it would be a boring world. Link to comment
stilfoto 0 Posted May 5, 2006 In my world this can never be a 7/7 image - not even close. And, this has nothing to do with the fact that most of it was created in PS or not.Yes, the colors are beatiful, and so is the composition, and it probably took a lot of time to create it - but the impression I get from this is: "Candy Floss". A lot of sweets and a lot of air - but nothing inside. And when it comes to originality there is absolutely nothing. You could find similar pictures in poster stores all over the world. So, even if it seems that I'm almost alone with my opinion, this is one of the rare cases where I give a 3/3 rating. jayh 0 Posted May 22, 2006 sorry...but when I rate this "IMAGE" I have to peel off all the fake background and keep the birds only, which is the only component that can be called "part of a photo" Link to comment
jenyplante 0 Posted October 22, 2006 I fall in love with all your pictures. I'm your fan. Link to comment
fotofont 0 Posted December 13, 2006 I just think this ...... (whatever it is) would have to be in a very definite corner of photo net. If I wanted to rate some photos ( on that random photo rating ) and apeeared something like this, I would just recieve a soooo dramatic down, that I'd finish rating... Link to comment
