Fall colors and red rocks. Garden of the Gods. Fall 2005.

I think this is an excellent shot that shows your skill. As a Colorado Springs resident and photographer, I've seen this scene and shot in hundreds of lighting, foliage and images. This is one of the best. Like the rest of your photos you very skillfully balance space and color in your shot to please the eye. A strong sense of depth is created with alternating light/dark, green,red, overlapping objects, aerial perspective, diminising size, diminishing detail and the flow of the ridge line from left to right becoming darker to the right. LOVE IT. I'm not sure that digital would have preserved the huge range of highlight to shadow detail this shot shows. I know the print/neg has a much fuller range of tones than this small web image can show.
