bentes_world 0 Posted October 29, 2009 .... or 'let's throw these oranges' This is from a project I was hired to do. A very little athletic association on a very little island - 1100 residents - had received a little sum of money for a project named ' The art of movement - the movement of art' (or something like that) ... and they asked if it was something i would like to work with........... If I would want to ....? They are not beautiful skinny people in fancy gym suits. They arn't exactly elegant in their movements. They are ordinary people having fun with their sport and each other so it was some kind of a challenge to make it look interesting and to get the art in movements. To get some ideas I asked them what they did do and if they had some series of dance they could show. After some seconds of silence one of the ladies said they had one practice where they lay on the floor and did something with the arms. 'Show me' I said and they did .................... and they lay down on their backs, bended in their knees, lifted the arms and hands and started fluttering with their fingers................................................... 'Ok Ladies . that's nice but I think I have to instruct you' and i guess they had their hardest gym lesson ........ ever. I had a great day doing this stuff.... and they were all so very nice. pnital 36 Posted November 14, 2009 It is quite a long time.... as I work with dance groups and sport centers, I work a lot with movements and what it expresses. I think that you really did a nice work with the people ,as well as with the photograph ,and it is a nice story The effect of the movement is very well felt, its roundness and direction while working with the ball has a beautiful changing form and color palette.I like as well the reflected bodies. The feeling is that the participants look good, relatively young and sportive....so you really added something nice to their life and movement capability that they will copy in the future. MichaelChang 12 Posted November 22, 2009 Hi Bente, I will have to agree with Pnina.. Hi Pnina! If I had to change anything, it would be to feather the black surround just a bit more to give a smoother transition. Link to comment
