very good picture.

i dont like that you cut the mirroring of the foreground stone ( it breaks the harmony of composition a bit); but indeed if you let more space downward, that would change the whole composition; and some more shadow details would be much pleasant to my eyes (though i know that this is very difficult in such situations, especially long after sunset).

these problems are not big, but in my opinion would improve this shot when fixed. hope you dont take it offense.

on the other hand the light and tones are fantastic, outstanding mood and composition.

Thanks guys.

Zsolt, I don't mind your comments at all! That's why I post my shots for critique in the first place. Now regarding the clipped reflection, I totally agree with you and I could possibly have backed up a little bit. Regarding the details in the rock, my initial plan was to light paint them but my light wasn't strong enough. I could have brought out some details in post processing but somehow my camera was set on jpeg shooting!! (I only shoot raw normally, but the camera was set to factory setting after it came back from Nikon...)

Sounds like your favorite location. I had sees them in your other shot with more magical strong light. I prefer that one but this one is very soothing and colorful.

I really like the sky and the perspective. I strongly prefer the natural lighting to light painting, and this works very well for me.

Same as Stephen... the shadow of the rock in the foreground would have maybe been better uncut ... but its still a beautiful shot.

The coulours are beautifully balanced and that sky is simply amazing !

Well done,

Isabelle

Ouch, that hurts. Those nasty jpgs straight from the camera. Well, you still have a winner, so all is not lost. The cut off reflection bothers me not, but I would prefer the horizon to be smack in the middle as opposed to just off center. The streaked sky is grand Younes!
