witness 0 Posted October 28, 2009 Great shot! I wouldn't say the lighting adds or subtracts mood as the subject is evenly lit IMO. maybe go for more lighting contrast like this example. 60 seconds of lighting manipulation here but you'll get the idea. Very fine shot as is IMO. But you mentioned mood setting etc. in your description and I don't see any mood lighting. Link to comment
clemsonguy 0 Posted October 29, 2009 @Mark Thanks for the comment. I guess mood is relative since the original image is much brighter. I've taken your advice and created another image in this series that I have posted. Dan Link to comment
dugstervision 0 Posted November 4, 2009 Perfect arrangement of shapes and lines! Succinct. No clutter. The texture of her wild hair contrasts nicely with her perfect skin. Excellent! Link to comment
dugstervision 0 Posted November 4, 2009 By the way, I agree that this is not a moody photo, except maybe for her pensive expression. This photo has powerful elements and the flat lighting works well. You might try the exact same photo, but with like 1:5 lighting ratio, or even more extreme contrast. Use a soft key. Link to comment
