kup_bac 0 Posted January 22, 2003 I don't know but I'm still trying to hold back from digitally altering my photos but i think I should start somewhere so I'll appreciate any comments and suggestions Link to comment
blago 0 Posted January 22, 2003 A strong and original image, Kup. But I am not sure about its aesthetics. The tree you selected is far from the green tree of life, and all those frames. I said I am not sure, maybe, because you went this way by purpose. If not, try to simplify the image and use a less "surreal" tree (bonsai?). IMO this could make the image less painful and more delicate, thus increasing its impact on the public. Blago Link to comment
alamosa 0 Posted January 22, 2003 Interesting concept. I'm not sure if the words are necessary here. Link to comment

kup_bac 0 Posted January 23, 2003 Thanks for the feedback guys. I wasn't going for a clean, perfect compostion. To start "surreal" is what I'm after, all the elements was there for I felt it added to the mood I was trying to achieve- whimsically surreal(if there's such a word). The grain, borders, words for me adds texture which was more important for me than a clear picture. I know it sounds like artsy-fartsy BS but as I said if I'm going to display a digitally altered photo might as well go artistic than try to go for crisp, clean, digital images. I have nothing against that but for me I wanted to use the software to express my artistic side(however retarded it might be). Again thank you for the suggestions and critiques, I'll try to keep that in mind. Link to comment

bacsa 0 Posted March 30, 2003 kup, just a suggestion: check out a photographer called Manuel Laval, you can find his webpage with google. He has some pretty nice work, and might give you ideas even. Link to comment
