Your comments are most welcome. I am ambivalent about this one. It is probably

headed for the digital dustbin, but I like the hard rock in the FG and the water washed

one in the middle.

Jeff, I like the sharpness of the rock in the foreground, too. Perhaps cropping some off the left would make the composition more interesting...? Regards Adrienne

You can send your trash to me. I like the fact that the rocks on the lower right are more sharply defined, while the furthest rock has been softened by moving water. The sharp edge on the sand is nice as well. I still like the square and like the fact that the rocks in the lower right provide some asymmetry to the photo. The only thing I wish was slightly different is less shine on the sand in the foreground. Very nice photo.

Nice decent colours and good exposure. I'm not pretty sure about the placement of the big rock in the (horizontal) center of the image though. But I'm not sure where it would be placed better instead either... Regards, Martin

I like it, too. The little waterfall on the lower right side gathering water in a radial fashion from the sand provides a good point of interest. Its looks also is in contrast with the rest of the scene where water is more other-worldly. I suggest that you never irreversibly empty your digital dustbin...

I'm with Stephen, the dynamic nature of this photograph makes it a winner. The sharp details of the FG combined with the softness of the time-lapse exposure in the middle-ground makes this almost surrealistic. This is most certainly a keeper; and a great representative in this series. Well done! Cheers! Chris

Jeff, this is the digital age. There are 10 terabyte RAIDs that cure ambivalence. Unfortunately, I only have 500 gigs, but that's still enough room for a beauty like this. I only toss the glaring mistakes, like the mistakenly tripped shutter that captured my foot. Everything else goes through the post processing wringer to see if it is worthy. This is so worthy. Like everyone else who has chimed in, I think this is a real winner, even printable for the office wall!

Your picture has superb colors and a magnificent composition; its definitely not just about the place, it is very much to do with the eye of the photographer. What a magnificent photo you've made!

Jeff, why would you send this image to the digital dustbin? It's a perfect example of how to compose a square format landscape. It certainly doesn't need cropping on the left hand side, and the central placement of the large rock creates a very restful composition that seems to work better in square format than any other aspect ratio.
