jeffl7 0 Posted October 30, 2009 The pairing of the peach sky and lavender snow strikes chills. An icy stunner. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted October 30, 2009 Thanks Jeff. I like the shot for much the same reason you do. The soft peach colour is really nice and contrasts the snow very nicely. However, I think you might be more positive about this than I am! ;-) I feel it is an important part of the whole series on the Portlands. It has its place and tells an important part of the story, but, it wouldn't make my top 20 from the set as an individual image. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 1, 2009 Touching lonely winter scene with the soft colored light behind. The trees are looking like "turning their bare faces" toward the light... very nice composition I hope you are well. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Thanks Pnina! You always manged to phrase everything so beautifully. It has been a very long time, but, all is well enough with me. I hope to be spending some more time on PN in the coming months and am just starting to catch up on what everyone has been doing in my long absence. Link to comment
Ian Taylor 28 Posted March 24, 2012 I launched my kayak from this spot many times when I lived in Toronto. I lived near the Portlands for years - these photos are some of the best I've seen from my old part of the world. Link to comment
