Here's the latest attempt of mine in B&W photography. I would like

the tree to be more distinct, but the sky behind it just wouldn't go

any more white. Do you like the picture?

Yes, the picture is great. Classic composition.

Beautiful tree in the background.

The black mountain on the right is slightly disturbing, but the sky leading into the mill is great, so no cropping possible there.

Predraze. Svidja mi se fotka. Nema do dobre crno bijele fotografije! Bila bi jos bolja da je netko na slici. Netko tko bi se uklopio u okolinu. Neka starica ili slicno.

Great composition, very strong moody shot. The tree balances the shot perfectly. To have the tree more distinct would mean sacrificing that magic sky. This is a good compromise.A great shot & one to be proud of.I would definitely hang it on the wall.Regards Pete.

The mill in the front sort of have a mystical look against that well controlled sky.

The tree acted as a sentinel overlooking the mill. Quite a cool photo.

That dark "patch" on the right distracts too strongly in what could have been a really strong image. Its just too heavy.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tree - if it were more prominant, I think it would detract fromt the overall composition. And - as many have pointed out - the featureless black hole on the right is a little distracting, but not much.

This is my favorite in your portfolio (I like black and white). Very good light. Blackness on right is a small problem. I'd tone this a litte to give it a bit more warmth. I'd try a very light sepia or heavy selenium or perhaps a light copper or gold. Just a few ideas.

Personally, I like it allot. I've enjoyed your photos for a couple of years now, anmd landscapes are your "thing". I like how you can take a simple object or view and capture more than there is. The contrast is great, the "texture" is great. I like the "size" difference with the mountain scape in the background and the boulders in the front. detail is perfect and I love the sky.
