Not Here 93 Posted October 19, 2009 Tony... the cold, crisp foreground works well with the warm, smooth background and sets up beautiful tension... Mike Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 19, 2009 Dr Didi and Michael - your visit is appreciated. Not sure if PN is having capacity problems but each time I have clicked on your portfolio link - PN pops a screen and says 'generating member history' - I could not wait so I will try later. best regards, Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted October 19, 2009 PN has had this issue about once a week for several weeks now. I can't get to any portfolio, not even my own. My guess is that the server is down for that portion of the site. Have a great week!!... Mike Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi Tony, i remember commenting on this shot (or one just like that) a few weeks back when you put it up the first time. I like how you brought out the contrast and colors in this one. The reflection in the water is really perfect and i love the textures in the foreground wood and sand. Your horizon seems a bit off though, I realize with your wide angle lens you may have a bit of barrel distortion at the edge which make the water line a bit round, but i think you can get away with it if you just level your horizon a bit. Wonderful shot. Regards - michel PS I'm also having problems accessing photographers galleries lately. So it must be a site problem. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 20, 2009 I think PN has improved the situation because things seem to be a bit better at the moment. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 20, 2009 maurizio - thanks for your kind words and generous ratingPaweł & Grażyna - please with your visit and your input - thanks.Michel: You are correct - you have a good memory - I did have a landscape one a few weeks ago and it was posted when I was on the road with limited time and access to the internet. I realized that I could apply some dodge and burning and some other post processing (contrast control, etc) to bring out what i think is the best representation of the scene as i saw it. thanks for the constructive input you provided along with the first '7' on this image - very much appreciated. ldavidson 4 Posted October 20, 2009 Tony, this is magnificent! It is so crisp and clean, like the air in Jasper. I am sure you sell prints of this, and some of the others you have taken there at any of the exculsive tourist haunts like Jasper Park Lodge. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 20, 2009 I really do appreciate your very generous 7/7 rating and glad you liked it. Acquiring and producing images is what gives me the most satisfaction and if someone discovers the image on the internet and business can be done by e-mail otherwise I will stay very low key with the commercial aspect but thanks again for your suggestions. thadley 15 Posted October 21, 2009 Thanks very much - I took a little trip and found a couple of photo ops. How is that young family of yours doing - I am sure young babies keep parents quite busy. Blessings and have a great week. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted October 22, 2009 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am happy we share the same vision of what is beautiful - in fact I recently printed this out and it is hanging in my office and at 11x16 on matt paper it looks even better. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 26, 2009 Fantastic image, Tony. I love the brilliance of the light and tones, and the extreme contrasts of the composition. I'd hang it in my office too, if I were you. Link to comment
