The bird gives a solitary feel -- alone in immense space, but in nature, in his element, watchful for other life, edible life, I suppose. I like the lighting and the textures, as the vegetation would be crunchy and make cracking, swishing noises if one walked here, and the fog is dense, wet, the fence rough. It's a lovely, quiet shot. An exciting time of year really of transitions -- the seasons, the fence, perhaps migrations....

Keith, it's good to hear from you. I appreciate you taking the time to tell me your thoughts.

 

Donna, I hope that by this time next year I will have a macro. The water droplets on the grass were so lovely and delicate, like little jewels. You are so right about the sounds. I was drenched after crawling around in the grass.
