michael_alexander3 0 Posted March 5, 2001 This is an excellent picture, except that the person is underexposed. Sky as background is tricky. On the one hand, the sky is attractive. On the other hand, Objects can end up looking like silhouettes. Landscape photographers can use neutral density filters to darken the sky. I don't know what the options are for birds, airplanes, and skateboarders. Link to comment
g_a1 0 Posted March 5, 2001 Nice framing- i just wish i could see the skater. Fill flash? I assume, based on the title, that you didn't have time to set up- but an off camera flash, maybe below or to the right of the skater(frame's left) would be helpful. Link to comment
scott_gardner1 0 Posted June 7, 2009 I rather like that the subject is almost in silhouette. I'd almost like him to be even more underexposed, to give the shape an iconic look. Also, that would darken the sky and make it more detailed and dramatic. I'd also like to see him more separated from the foliage, so he'd be suspended against the sky. Wee Keng-Hor, can you go back in time and ask for a reshoot? ;o) Well done in any case! Link to comment
