postcards from the city... any city... The Planet Of The Apes

I can't help it... I like tremendously this photo. For some reasons, it strikes a chord deep inside me. I've written for this photo somewhere else, but I still think the same. So, I will write the same words again, in case the previous ones get deleted somehow. Hope you don't mind.

In this world of darkness, an open door...

From this door comes the spindrift. It's on my skin, on my hair, in my nose.

I hear the incessant back and forth ... back and forth... back and forth... of the waves on the fine sand... And the unceasing calls of the birds...

Humans, the descendants of apes, are strolling around... back and forth... back and forth... So much in their mind... or nothing at all. And they build their towers as high in the sky as possible to see over the ground, to see high above, to see far away, to see the sea... to be as far as possible from their brother apes.

I look at this open door and my eyes are full of tears. Beauty still exists...

The door will close again, and the darkness will take back its rights, but I will not be the same.
