Along the Grand Canal

Taken in Venice last year, worked in photoshop for

color ,contrast,sat. etc.

nothing added,straight shot

Great colors, mood is set, wish there was a gondalier in the front doin' his thing, or at least a purty senorita. Guess ya had to be there...

Beyond the good exposure and sharp details, it's an interesting angle with interesting details. Great shot!

I was doing this in 1995 and 1999. The photo brings back fond memories. I like the angle you chose. Great color and contrast.

I think this is a great match of vision and equipment. The sharpness and depth of colors is great, the composition is wonderful. Nothing to add.

I use slides and scan them into photoshop and ajust,color , sat, and any thing else the photoshop gods can give that I know how to use. to get the feeling/mood that I am trying express

I think that this is well composed, provides impact and is extremely good technically; not perfect, 9/9.

Beautiful shot and I especially love the composition, but my second thought was 'looks like all he had to shoot with was Kodak Gold'. It seems oversaturated.

...I think this month's Design Graphics uses this picture for their depth of field Photoshop tutorial. I don't have the actual magazine, but I normally stop by my newsstand and read up on graphics/photography, and this awesome picture was showcased in it...

 

...Or at least a very similiar one. ;)

Can anyone out there send me a scan of the image Neafevoc is talking about? Or tell me that it is the same image. I live in Alaska and dont think I can find a copy of Design Graphics here, though I will look into it. If it is the same image it was NOT used with my consent. I have emailed Neafevoc and will post this question on photo.net if someone does not reply to this first message soon. Thank you. I can assure you that I took this image in Venice last year and worked on it in photoshop to get the colors and tones just the way I wanted them.

UPDATE:The good people who run photo.net checked on this at my request and informed me very quickly that the image Neafevoc was talking about is NOT the same as my image of Venice. I wish to thank Lisa of Photonet for such a quick responce. 9/2101

this really works well with the addition of the boat bow.
