Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 14, 2009 You keep summoning legendary figures and enticing them to reveal themselves from their hiding places all around.. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted October 15, 2009 Jack, who is that one-eyed king? Gail, many thanks for your appreciation. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 15, 2009 First there are the blind - they rush through life seeing nothing except what they expect to see. Fewer are the one-eyed, who see those things most of us miss. Then there are the two-eyed, superior beings with binocular vision, who see and appreciate the unique spirits manifest in the temporal world. Those who use the third eye, well.... they walk with the Buddha. You should be listed among the two-eyed (I cannot speculate on your Buddhahood), but if I did so I couldn't use that old latin saying which - with a little checking - I find comes from Erasmus: "In regione caecorum rex est luscus" Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 16, 2009 Dear Jack, many thanks for enlightening me. I have read about the phrase - "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king" is quoted in Erasmus' "Adagia," & John Palsgrave's translation of the "Comedy of Acolastus." You are right.I do not have the "Third Eye". I have an eye for Beauty:-)But you are the Superior being with a special photographic eye, no doubt.Buddha alone did not have the Third Eye. Lord Shiva opens his Third Eye for annihilation of evil. Jack uses his Third Eye for spotting the most unusual. Link to comment

samrat 1 Posted October 17, 2009 The first thought I had looking at this photo was that of the paintings in the Ajanta caves; I see Koushik Ray has had similar thoughts. But I think this abstract has perhaps more potential than one can possibly imagine. One of your best in recent times. Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 19, 2009 Wonderful colors and interesting patterns. Do you see the upside-down monkey with his arms hanging down within this? Or all the eyes of small little critters? I enjoy finding objects or shapes within cloud formations. Now I can have a lot of fun finding other objects within your outstanding photo. Link to comment
