David, superb composition and tone. I am happy that barbed wires and fences could not restrict the freedom of the bird.

The end of the fencing and significant open space in the composition allows a sense of freedom, instead of claustrophobia, which might be the case without the space on the left. The fence without barbed wire seems neutral-- could be nicely serviceable or confining -- but the barbed wire invites one to make associations with prison, punishment, etc.... The perspective is nice too, as we look slightly up at the bird perched between two sharp barbs, a mixture of a symbol of freedom and tension, also symbolic perhaps of what life is. There's something restful about the sky, the mottled clouds and brightness even though it is washed in gray. Beautiful work. Soulful .

This is simple. only for a first look, but it is very nice. I am able to read more from it, like from the many rich, only for the first look, images.Ed

A thought provoking and artistic photograph. Background tonality is dramatic. This is a superb composition from an ever-creative photographer. Best regards.
