brent_blankinship 0 Posted October 7, 2009 Scanning thru photos, this one caught my eye. The different areas of light and dark seem a little distracting to me. I think the different levels of light actually take away attention from the subject in this case. Best regards...Brent Link to comment
japi 1 Posted October 7, 2009 interesting to learn how different people look at the same image. To me, rather than being distractive, the different areas of light and shadow draw attention to where the photographer wanted. It appears to me that, for example, the choice of the outfit of the model with those little shiny stones was deliberate. Good work, Paolo, a great portrait of a stunning model. Link to comment
bevip 0 Posted October 7, 2009 Brent, Joao, I was very pleased to receive your point of view. I think that part of reason is Brent but also to Joao. I wanted to give depth to the light of both the upper body as well as the model's face which is far more enlightened than any other part of the frame and that should attract attention. Brent says, however, that this is not.Io not think is sensitive to the different intensities of light but by the decentralization of the face, too moved up. Joao says that the different intensities of light attract him and this fills me with joy. In the construction of the image I had already identified the lack of balance in the face, but I did not want to change the cut and so I tried to play with the light on the whole frame in order to leave the viewer with the choice of watching where his eyes would .
