luis.miro 0 Posted October 3, 2009 The Santa Maria del Mar is the most beautiful Gothic church in Barcelona. The church was built in the 14th Century in only 55 years from master builder Berenguer de Montagut, it was consecrated in 1384. The short construction period led to the Santa Maria del Mar having a very uniform-looking architecture. The novel “Cathedral of the Sea” by Ildefonso Falcones (2006), describes in a very impressive way the time during the construction of this church. Thanks for your time and comments. Link to comment
