This is my first attempt at a bust shot.

I had an AB400 w/large octobox on camera right, and a large gold/silver

weave fill reflector on camera left.

This is a local girl who is trying to get her start at modeling. We

decided to work together and do some photos (since im also trying to

get my start in photography).

I shot her at her house, which only had yellow walls. I attempted to

make the background white, but as you can see i missed a few little

spots (work in progress).

My main goal was to get a really sharp photo of her, and do subtle

retouches without being obvious about it.

This is also my first experience with shooting RAW.

Im overall pleased with how it looks, but i know it could be better.

Please pick it apart.

Nikon D90 with Tamron 28-75 f/2.8

Good pose, plenty of mammary endowments. :) Eyes are something else, too. Masking is not very good, there is skintone spill all over the place, and she's missing a bit of her right wrist.

Look at the area to the left of her black top and skin. There is an area of brownish-yellow. Looking closer, I think it's background bleed, and it's also very noticeable in the hair. I also note that some of the hair has gone almost to a totally detail-less black.

You've got a bit too much, no trace of the old background around her, try using the pentool in photoshop or color range comand to get a bit nicer selections.

if you do change the background color of a new layer so you can stitch poor areas afterwards. or hanging up a sheet behind her, a good background can be made of many of cheap materials and its faster to fix it when you shoot than after.

A nice looking girl and nice light, a fill flash or a reflektor behind her would be a nice ad for some hair light.

Best regards Tore
