jerrymat 5 Posted October 2, 2009 I made a few of of these once in my life so I am filled with questions 1. Is this a home-made emulsion on glass or an existing commercial emulsion? 2. Are you painting the black background or using a special material behind the negative? 3. Did you rephotograph this or scan it for the computer? 4. The face around the eyes look blurry - was this a time exposure? - or slow shutter speed? Exerimenting with older techniques is one of the joys of photography. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
vork 3 Posted October 4, 2009 Hello, i am glad that you are interested in this. 1. emulsion did himself, potassium iodide and methyl bromide. 2. is shaded negative. 3. this scan. 4. exposure time of 2 minutes. two lights, one on the 1000w, the other on the 250w. Link to comment
