This is an excellent photo, not only because of its excellent technical qualities, good contrast, sharp, great composition and use of color for the eyes, but mainly because it captures so well the essence of cats.

That complete lack of regard for the camera, and indeed for the world, comes across clearly in this image. Only a cat owner would really understand, I think. This is one of my favorite cat photos.
