axel-cordes 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Very clear picture, even though shot in fog. Wonderful! Congratulation! Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted September 30, 2009 Almost perfect shot, but red object in the distance is unnecessary. Still, 6/6 from me Link to comment
stp 6 Posted October 1, 2009 This kind of light and atmosphere will always have its appeal to me. I presume the building with the red roof was there, and I agree that it's not "necessary" (the photo might even be better without it), but if it' "there" and in the photo, what is one to do? Some would clone it away (relatively easy to do in this case), while others prefer to be more true to what the eye saw (even if it didn't see the building as blurred). Anyway, before I digress too much, very nice photo. Link to comment
fproject 0 Posted October 1, 2009 Stephen, Chris. Red roof is 100% natural. This is not clone. I think it is better. Thanks Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted October 1, 2009 I realise that the red roof is real, but without it the overall composition could be better ;) Due to its colour, this roof pops up too much from the image and draws away attention from the main subject. Regards Link to comment
stp 6 Posted October 1, 2009 I agree with Chris -- I think the overall appeal of the image would be slightly improved, because the red roof would not be competing for attention. Where the main discussion (i.e., disagreement) will come in is whether the red roof, which is 100% natural (and, by the way, significantly defocused so that it is not as prominent -- good move, Przemyslaw), should be allowed to remain or to be removed. I'm in the camp of allowing it to remain. Many, including Przemyslaw, are likely to actually prefer it, because it does give some context as well as depth of scale to the photo. Link to comment
Mehdi Hosseini 0 Posted October 1, 2009 With or without red roof it is really a great and moody shot. however I think the red root makes it more conceptual shot. FOG makes it really appealing shot as well. Congratulations Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 26, 2009 I think it's a fantastic natural shot, nothing should be changed! Link to comment
