stp 6 Posted September 30, 2009 The light and vegetation are beautiful, and the birds are icing on the cake. If the flying bird was there when you fired the shutter (I don't see its shadow or reflection), then it's a marvelous photo. Link to comment

henrylw 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Hi Stephen, This is a single exposure. I WAITED for the bird to fill the empty space on right side. The sun was low and the lake was misty, but you can still see golden light on the back of the flying bird (click on the image to see a bigger version). Thanks for you comment. Henry Link to comment
stp 6 Posted October 1, 2009 Henry, I greatly admire a photographer who can anticipate a missing element and wait for it to appear. This is exquisite. I'll bet 99% of people with a camera in their hands and who happened on this scene would have taken the first picture and have been very happy with the colors, light, and composition. Having waited, you really got more than just "icing on the cake" as I stated earlier; the flying bird adds a whole dimension to the photograph simply because it is such a rare and fleeting moment.
