Inside the old bakery...
Mr Dimitris, is the owner of the last traditional bakery -which was built in 1885 -, in Ikaria island Greece. In the photo, he shows me the ownership papers. Local authorities what it demolished in order to build luxury villas for rent. Ikaria is an isolated island, in which communists were exiled after the Greek civil war. During a period of 10 years more than 13.000 communists were exiled there. That's why today the island is called "Red Rock" or "little Cuba".
