John Peri 1,037 Posted October 1, 2009 Very nicely composed, and the background colouring and design are definitely a plus ..moreover, as Jim would say, the model's look is striking, bravo. Link to comment
phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted October 2, 2009 Tell me; are you using tungsten on your model ? ( - or perhaps stropes with CTOs ?) I love the contast to blue'ish look through the window - REAL nice work ;-) Link to comment
clemsonguy 0 Posted October 2, 2009 @Phillip Thank you so much for the kind words. I simply used an SB-600 flash that I bounced off the ceiling. I offset just slightly from center to prevent a return off the window. I used a Nikon D-90 and a 50mm lens in this instance. The room had a western exposure and we were finishing up the shoot as the sun was going down. Link to comment
phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted October 4, 2009 Thank you for the reply ;-) In that case I must say you control your speedlite VERY well indeed ! But if you're shooting electrinic flash-WB with natual daylight, then how come the blue look throgh the window ? Photoshop ?!? This looks SO much like tungsten (WB) + natural daylight ;-) Link to comment
clemsonguy 0 Posted October 5, 2009 @Phillip When I was doing post processing, I needed to cool the picture a bit since their was a WB problem caused by some of the lamps in the room. I was really trying to cool her skin tone with RAW slider in PS, but when I did, it really accentuated the blue in shadows that were forming on the buildings in the background. In the end, I guess it is better to be lucky than good. Hope this helps. Link to comment
phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted October 6, 2009 I think you did a fine job ! - and thanks for the details ;-) Link to comment
je ne regrette rien 67 Posted October 13, 2009 The tones are very good, as the model looks. Maybe I would try without showing the seat, showing the entire left foot and with a square window frame. Link to comment
bonnici 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Thank you for providing some technical details on your work. Not that I could ever replicate your level of work, but it gives some of us hope.... Link to comment
