linelight 0 Posted September 29, 2009 available light in a natural setting to define form of a male torso. Comments valued, thanks. Link to comment
mr-mike 0 Posted September 29, 2009 Since you went for so much definition (and your model seems to spend endless hours in the gym!) why is the photo blurred and not crisper? Perhaps the fuzziness enhances some sculptural effect, but I think that could have been done with the most minor lighting tweaks, or even exposure adjustments. The model is far more awe inspiring than this version of the photo, at least to me, and I'm straight! Link to comment
linelight 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Mike, thanks for the critique. This is the discourse I am seeking on PN. The only trouble is I am not seeing what you are describing. This may be my aging eyes which are having trouble with focus generally, or it may be a depth of field issue on which we have a difference of opinion, or jpg resolution matter because the image is compressed to about 80Kb from an original RAW file. But it may be that there is something seriously deficient in my expectation of the quality of the image. Could you elaborate on your concern and offer suggestions in camera settings, etc to improve the image. Blur is in no way deliberate. I am straight also, and I agree the model has a stunning physique worthy of high quality capture. Tony Link to comment
