Friendly Visitors

I arrived at Second Beach, just south of La Push, Washington, well

before sunrise and hiked the 1/2 to 3/4 mile trail to the beach by LED

headlamp. After shooting a few very early shots, I saw a pair of raccoon

tracks leading towards the distant seastack and captured this image

with my 5D MKII and 24mm TS/E.

Beautiful lighting and mood and I love the racoon tracks!

One of my favorite places....the raccoon tracks really make the photo, and you have wonderful lighting and color in the sky. The amount of pink in the sand and its relative brightness is a bit puzzling; is this what your eyes saw or an artistic interpretation?
