I like your choice to use a large sky in this one. The gradual shift of tones from the warm glow behind the salt piles up to the blue and white makes a nice transition. I also like how the sky balances the heaviness of the salt and concrete blocks. The row of cast concrete leads my eye to the salt and then along the base of the mounds effectively pulling me into the scene. I like the overall feel of this photo a serene urban landscape.
