Pigs (Fair)

Never seen before, Mark!

Pig racing is probably my daughter's favorite event at our local county fair. So as you might imagine, I got to watch it more than once.

Pig races? What has the world come to? This is awfully cute, particularly the little straggler who is merely enjoying the wind on his snout.

Thanks all! Now if the shop would finish fixing my Nikon D80 so I can get more shots. Sensor went bad and they had to back order a part. Talk about withdrawal.

 

On another note, I like the pig in pink, her name was strawberry and she won that particular race (but I found out later, they just put the pigs into the little 'racing colors' randomly).

Mark, this is an excellent photo - the colors, composition, originality, but mostly how you were able to get such a sharp photo of fast moving subjects. I guess the bright light helped to get a fast shutter speed. I was surprised to see that you shot this at ISO 100, f5.3, again the bright lighting.

Is there not also and American saying "till the cows come home"?
