jan_nordvaalen 0 Posted January 15, 2003 It's a nice picture as it is, but I would prefer to crop a little bit in the bottom. Jan Link to comment
suzanne_berry 0 Posted January 18, 2003 Beautiful shot if you would crop some of the bottom off. The darkness takes away from the beauty of the mountain and clouds. Link to comment
danielkekesi1 0 Posted January 20, 2003 I like this picture as it is. This way the height of the trees is more obvious, and the darkness of the forest gives a nice contrast to the crystal clear snow. You can feel the mightiness of the mountain and the old trees as well. Besides, cropping the bottom would give it a feel of 'I-like-the-rule-of-thirds' feeling. Being different from usual is what I like about this photo very much. Nice composition, colors and timing (I suppose it took quite a time to have the mountain see through the clouds in just one spot). I can imagine this picture as a cover page of a fantasy book. Well done. Link to comment
jeff_zylland 0 Posted January 30, 2003 I have been to this mountain and was awed by its beauty. I was also frusterated that I could not imagine a good way of photographing it. But you have definately done it in a way that it does not look like one of the thousands of generic postcards. I wouldn't crop the bottom--the trees would appear cut off--it makes an original and nice, no--excellent contrast as it stands. Your portfolio is so beautiful that it almost hurts to look at.
