Katherine, Great architectural photo here but try converting this into B&W. There are so many lines, angles, and curves in this photo that seem kind of plain when viewing in color(which practically look neutral as is). Convert it and mess with the contrast and highlight settings, maybe dodge and burn in certain areas if needed to get more black in the shadows and brighter whites. This is one of those photos that would pack a bigger punch if done properly in B&W. Well done!

You comment was interesting as I had originally planned to transform this picture into B&W however when I did I just was not happy with the results. I just could not get the contrast nad tones that I desired. So I went with the higher contrast color version. You are probably right that I need to play around with it a bit more to see what I can come up with. Thanks for the feedback.

Before reading Brian's comment I also thought the same and actually downloaded it and converted to BW on my software. But you are right. The BW somehow doesn't work well here. Nicely composed shot this!

I can see Brian's point about the B&W, but there is something to be said for those warm shadows where the colors catch their breath. Delightful.
