v. bice 0 Posted January 14, 2003 Too bad we have the folks at the end of this view...... Link to comment
rimwalker 0 Posted January 14, 2003 I find the people in this image very distracting. I do understand though that variables like this can't always be controlled. Link to comment
phule 9 Posted January 14, 2003 I'm not sure if it's a function of the camera or of the exposure, but the highlights on the right seem...odd to me. Maybe I'm just looking for a more subtle shot? Less of an exposure would keep both columns visible but would darken the wall behind the columns on the left. I don't mind the people so much, but an idea of having just one person poking their head out from around an inner pillar appeals to me :) Link to comment
misterviddy 0 Posted January 15, 2003 Just a personal point, I'd have taken the people in the background out. But I really like this shot. Link to comment
richard_reusser 0 Posted January 16, 2003 The people don't bother me a bit. Gives the photo a focal point and some added perspective. Cool picture Rena ! Link to comment
seven 0 Posted January 16, 2003 How would it be Stoa without the people and still have a sense of historical meaning? I can sense Zeno and feel totally detached. I thought I was enlightened, except I reacted to this Rena : the tones and reflections are beautiful (rich, warm smooth) and I like the perspective, the people lend scale. I've not heard from you for a while - hope you are well. My regards. Link to comment
francois_j 0 Posted January 16, 2003 Very nice Rena. Dont change anything. I am surprised how straight it all looks. Link to comment
james_davison 0 Posted January 16, 2003 I prefer the people, too. They add scale to the photo. Link to comment
ben_crabtree 0 Posted January 16, 2003 The people not only add scale, but interest. It could be a cold picture without them. I'd like to see it with the right side darkened just a bit. Link to comment
tom lavin 0 Posted January 16, 2003 There is this richly colored, strong architectural perspective that lead you to a....um....ah..... gallery tour? Big build-up, lousy finish - just like my wife tells me I am in bed. I would have waited until the people left, thrown the rest of my Big Mac into the scene, and waited. Link to comment
louis1 0 Posted February 10, 2003 Ok , the photo is n't perfect BUT you saw 95% of it and that is you well on the way to great photos. There is a strong graphic here - perhaps a bit to the left to hide those benches and just 1, 2 or 3 people at the end or 1 in the doorway!!! Keep going louis Link to comment
g._r._gooderham 0 Posted April 8, 2003 WOW , to think what I had to do ( in an hour of photo manipulation )and not even come close to this FANTASTIC Link to comment
