Pierre Dumas 309 Posted January 14, 2003 If You want to make it perfect change the line of the darkest area so that it would maintain the rythm of the upper lines. It can be done.I like this picture very, very much. Congratulations. Link to comment
j._scott_schrader 0 Posted January 14, 2003 I disagree with Pierre. I believe that the darkest foreground area anchors the image. It is a dis-similar element among similar elements...always effective in photographic compositions. I think you did a beautiful job on this one. It is certainly a classic image. Yes, it's been done before , but regardless it is still beautiful. Link to comment
p_b_ 0 Posted January 14, 2003 I think the composition is OK (but what do I know). Improvement can come from waiting for the right light. Michael Fatali sometimes waits for 5 days for the right light. Link to comment
jan_nordvaalen 0 Posted January 15, 2003 I also think the comp. is good. The foreground should be like this, it comes natural as the hills is getting gradually darker against us. Perhaps a touch more contrast? ( I find your writing on the picture very disturbing, but I try to judge the picture as without) Keep up the good work! JanJ Link to comment
whinterberger 0 Posted March 23, 2003 The graduations are beautiful, some of the best I've seen in similar photos. I have to disagree with Paul about the light. I'm not sure what he could be looking for in this instance. No other light would achieve this effect.Great shot! Link to comment
