Hello Mark, a photograph with a lot of feeling, mood and energy. Excellent capture of the girl's expression and good lighting. Nice black and white and a clever touch with the colored gum. Interesting and very good work. Best regards. Dara

P.S. I appreciate your visits and interesting comments on my work.

Dara,

You are welcome for my comments. Any positive comments were well-deserved! I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. It's perhaps my current favorite among my posted work. It's getting closer to what I want to capture in my photography, regardless of a few blown out highlights. As for the gum, it was a pleasant moment of serendipity. It simply wasn't working in black and white, but I liked the rest of the picture (I was trying for a somewhat high key, happy tone). My daughter was basically making a face when she saw me taking her picture.

She is clearly pulling your leg and the result was this phantastic shot. I love the detail of the green gum. Thanks for you "visits" to my small gallery.

Thanks Maria, Mick.

My daughter was telling me visually that she was done with me and photographs for a time. We had spent it at Magic Mountain, a good day. Of course, I had to snap that one final shot. And I had a bit of fun post processing and bringing out the gum.

Thanks for your encouraging comments on my photo "Wheelie". You have a very spontaneaous photo here. I love the wacky expression you managed to catch. Nice use of selective colour too. I would suggest that you adjust the contrast a bit to achieve deeper blacks. Otherwise a very pleasant picture. Well done.
