Cross my heart

seven

At times the heart aches to tell the tale of its experiences during a shoot, That which is beyond the reach of the physical eye alone; this folder is dedicated to such times.

(Due to number of cameras and media involved, I've elected to leave the custom data fields blank - seems fitting in a way........ )

Flower or bird? How do you make those colours, Seven. Adding water? :-)

I am sure you left this small green in the ULC by purpose, but why? Jokes aside,

it is an extremely good image. Blago

Thanks. I didn't notice the green Blag, but at least that proves it was taken on location and not in the studio. Water? No, no - a dash of milk of magnesia or was it gauze, vaseline; damn, I forget.

Never noticed the bit of green that Blagoy pointed out, either! This is nevertheless a very nice close-up of a King Protea (I think). Native to South Efrica, many Australians often think that this is one of our own most beautiful indigenous plants... Cross my heart, and hope to die. Eventually, all carbon life forms will expire...

It is indeed a South African native though not represented in said parliament. Same story with the Arum Lily - rumour has it that's why most Australians were transported to Botany Bay; stealing flowers in Africa rather than loaves of bread (and cricketers) back home. Just a rumour though.

These photographs in this folder are absolutely wonderful. Each one bears more than just a cursory look. Spend a little time and you are amply rewarded. They are much more than snaps. This one posesses a delicacy about it which is extraordinay. I now understand Seven's comment on the photo page just how hard he labored for these pictures.

I like the title as I like the execution here. It looks a plant that disgused to a bird ;-)) that seats on a flower leaves... Crossed my heart as well Seven, I wonder how did you do it or where did you find it? is it a macro shot? ( what is Iso 50-400) . Thanks, Pnina

Thanks, Pnina - this is a King Protea, they used to grow wild on my previous property. The iso 50 - 400 means the various Fuji emulsions used to capture this particular series of soft focus shots. I don't know if it was a macro leans, it might have been - but these flowers are quite big so could just be zoomed in.
