Thank you for your visit. This one is excellent as usual. Great dynamic shot. I won't rate it as I cannot give 7s due to PN principle. I don't want to give less. Best regards.

The lighting, bokeh and colors are beautiful, crop works very well and interaction is excellent. One thing that doesn't put this image on top with your other kestrel images is the invisibility of the left kestrel's face. I also see some dust spots :) :)

I am envious of this one.Great details and a super background.2 very small items for me and I do mean small. I wish I could see the eyes a little better on the parent and there are a few sensor spots on the bottom.Great work Monte.

Christopher, the bird on the left is the male, the larger one on the right is his mate. With kestrels when they are nesting, the male usually passes off prey to the female, and she feeds the young.

Beautiful work Monte. You are definitely one of the finest bird photographers to post on this site and this is an exceptional image. Kestrals are such beautiful birds and the action in this image is interesting and dynamic. I have to concur with some others that the sensor dust spots at the bottom and upper left are distracting from an otherwise perfect image.

Love the shot but your other excellent shots of these characters are a hard act to follow. Nothing wrong with these colors.... (-:

Lots of stuff in the greater LA area. Just have to know when and where. This is a mated pair of kestrels and this behavior only occurs in spring time. This was an unusually good stroke of luck when we shot these 2.
