acjtucson 0 Posted September 7, 2009 This place has had the life sucked out of it courtesy of Los Angeles water use. I still find it one of the prettiest areas in all the California desert regions. Question-Crop down the sky? Link to comment
markvmueller 0 Posted September 7, 2009 Andrew I like the the composition and would not crop away the sky. Nice pictures. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
joe james 0 Posted September 7, 2009 I really like it just the way it is. The deep blue of the sky contrasts nicely with the stark desert landscape. Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted September 8, 2009 Excellent image Andrew. I wouldn't crop the sky myself. You might want to pull down the saturation on the blue a bit to make the sky more realistic, but otherwise I think it's superb as is.All the best,Neil Link to comment
umbush 0 Posted September 8, 2009 I think the sky works really well. I wouldn't crop it. I also think it would work really well in black and white, dramatising the sky more. Just a thought. Lovely shot!! kind regards Link to comment
rekaras 0 Posted September 8, 2009 Lovely image and you may wish to crop down the sky a bit but as is the image serves you well. The contrast between the sky and the earth tone is remarkably well seen. the shack looks like it may have been there since the time of your namesake during the Civil War. Regards wonderful image, rek. Link to comment

acjtucson 0 Posted September 9, 2009 Thank you all for the comments. I will toy around with a crop or two, the bluer than blue sky and also try B+W. The image may return. For those of you desert lovers, if you have never been to Owens Valley in CA, check it out. It's full of stuff like this. Link to comment
