AlainD 0 Posted September 6, 2009 The Bahnar are an ethnic group living in the Central Highlands and the nearby coastal provinces of Vietnam. Some of the most warmhearted and beautiful people I've ever met. Please C&C... Link to comment

AlainD 0 Posted September 7, 2009 Catherine : you're right! And I'm sorry. Yesterday I tried to replace the main original picture with the cropped (better) version. Nothing changed... but it did today (maybe because the picture is no more into the Critic forum ?). So at the end two similar cropped versions remained. That's why I deleted my last post. I guess you should do the same with yours. Sorry for this mess! Above this text is the original (non cropped) version, which has a little more space on the right. Thanks a lot to David Forney and Gris(elda) for their patience and helpful comments! Catherine : I would be interested to know which picture of the two you prefer, or if the slight crop doesn't change anything for you. Thanks and best regards, Alain Link to comment
Katerina Pachou 1,754 Posted September 7, 2009 Dear Alain. I prefer the cropped one. (sorry in advance for my writing, I will try to phrase my thought:)) I like the fact that the hands are placing the frame of the picture -in a way- and work at the same time as a frame for the child. That's because of the very gentle gesture of the hands, so everything that is important for me as a viewer is right there. The extra space is not necessary for me, even though it is not much. david_l._forney 0 Posted September 8, 2009 Hey Alain, Beautiful photograph. Yes, I like the tighter crop better, but the image itself is exquisite. The child is adorable and the presentation here is beautiful. I love the mother's hands, the child's eyes and natural expression as well as the colors. Wonderful image. 7/7, although I'm not permitted to do so now. David Link to comment
