wacky sight! the windmill is so modern and neatly designed and sits so incongruously on that monstrosity... good perspective... some light balancing could perhaps help the ground... the sky is marvelous... i'm wondering about the 'fan'...

Thanks for stopping by. The whole windmill here dates back to the late 1700s. It has of course been restored which gives the impression that perhaps the upper section is modern. The fan or 'sails' are in fact all there but the angle of the shot makes it appear as if three are missing.Its a pity I could not have shot this from a different position but sadly the gate to the grounds was locked.If you look at my village pond shot you can see this windmill from the front on the right of the shot.
