dpphoto 0 Posted March 2, 2001 Still looking for help on my toucan. By manipulating to B&W and cropping slightly, I thought that maybe I would get a little more contrast. Any comments or critique would be much appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
miguel_azar 0 Posted March 2, 2001 Donna: This would make a great hand paint touch up photo. A little color (orange?) to the bill and maybe a sephia look may work. Maybe some color to the eye. If you really wanted to do some work - a very soft hand coloring to the entire picture would be rather dramatic. I like the photo - the angle makes the beak look huge. Link to comment
kevin_kolosky 2 Posted March 2, 2001 Donna for me at least the white around the bird coupled with the leaves is very distracting. If he/she was standing on top of a branch with leaves below it might be fine but here it just doesn't seem to work. Kevin Link to comment
michael_alexander3 0 Posted March 3, 2001 Nice pictures. I prefer color. In your other photo, it would have been good to reduce the green a little bit in photoshop. Fill flash may have helped. The feathers seem somewhat smooth as if it isn't focused perfectly. Usually, when a bird is focused perfectly, you get more feather details, but I don't know about toucans. Link to comment
