Elk in new velvet Summer Yellowstone

I got some advice lately on how to photograph animals in the wild. I

used some of those techniques are in this image. One was to get a

natural shot of them just being themselves. I am still learning, any

advice would be much appreciated.

Excellent image Charles. Looks like somebody gave you some good advice. These guys are looking pretty relaxed. Looks well composed, with excellent color, and detail.

Your intension to catch interaction and emotional wildlife shots Charles is absolutely correct....these kinds of shots attract the viewer's attention the most and finally sell more than anything else in publishing industry. The fact that both of the deer look at the opposit way "ruin" a little bit a generally very good effort....it seems though that you are in the right path, keep up the good work and stunning results are not far away.
