havanai 0 Posted January 11, 2003 If you are going to do a studio shot with someone holding a candle and the candle light is not sufficient to light the person, wouldn't it make sense to try to have your additional light source somewhat simulate the direction of the light from the candle? I looked at this and saw strong light coming from the model's right, as if from an open window. And it is quite a bit of light, so much so, that I asked, "Why is she holding a candle in broad daylight?" Could you try augmenting the candle with light from below and in front of her, without casting the candle's shadow on her face or chest? Then it might look as if she is in a serene and dimly lit room with reason to be contemplating a candle. Link to comment
