normandie Honfleur- Gate

While taking a walk to see Honfleur, I discovered this beautiful stone

I love these little courtyard scenes. You always want to know what happens beyond the gate. The door is open and the stairs lead to an inner secret. The DOF of the shot is good because the inner scene is clear but you still get the definition of the gate. This shot is fine and works. I wonder if playing with levels and vignetting it would be more intriguing or mysterious ( a different picture all together.) I also like the moss and green tones inside the gate as differintiated from outside the gate. Well done. - Charles

Lovely shot Tom........(great adventures to be had)..........nice to see the cat(?) on the stairs in behind the gate, lovley lighting..........the only thing I may have done was clone out the black object in the upper right hand side. I realize it is probably a light that belongs there, but it is not that distinct, and I find it rather distracting........it's such a good shot that I think 'Aesthetically' it would be much more pleasing without it there........but what do I know(?)...................no one else has noticed it.........overall, great comp...congrats, Gail

Thank you all for your comments. Gail, you are right it would be better without the black thing in the upper right corner, but I really didn't think anyone would notice when I cropped the image. Silly me.
